Celebrating Connected Educators Month

teachertraining 300x200 Celebrating Connected Educators MonthIt’s August and that can only mean one thing. The event we’ve all been waiting for (for the last month and a half at least) is finally here!  That’s right; it’s officially Connected Educators Month! That means we can all look forward to a month full of innovation and online collaboration.

The activities start today with a two-day online conference about transforming teaching and learning. Many more events are scheduled throughout the month, view the list here.

On Twitter, the conversation started with the June 24th announcement of Connected Educators Month and is ongoing. Simply follow the hashtag, #ce12 to join in on the conversation. On August 8th at 10:00am MST, @MediaCASTstream (that’s us!) will be hosting a special Connected Educators Month chat, #CEMchat. This chat will focus on how technology is helping educators stay connected.

At MediaCAST we believe it is important for teachers to learn from one another and share their knowledge. That’s why we included the Media Exchange in V11. Through the Media Exchange, teachers are able to upload their user-generated content and share it with everyone else who is using MediaCAST.

We hope you enjoy all the festivities this month! Be sure to join us on Twitter August 8th for #CEMchat!

Do you have any topics you would like to see discussed? Leave a comment with your topic and we’ll try to include it in the chat.
